Sequoia 2021 Collection - My inspiration

The Sequoia tree is considered an immortal being.

It can live from 1200 to more than 3000 years and has a great height, exceeding 100 meters. They have a thick bark, around 60 centimeters with special characteristics that make it especially strong against fire and insects.

Its seeds are pineapple-shaped and mature in about 20 months. Meanwhile, they remain closed and green for up to 20 years, a spectacular figure. But even more striking is the fact that forest fires, which are deadly to other species, appear to be beneficial on many occasions for the Sequoia.

Fire helps control weeds, regenerates the soil, and has a very interesting effect on pineapples or seeds, allowing them to activate and start the germination process.

The Sequoia Collection, makes a simile between the behavior of this tree in the presence of fire, and the attitude of many women to the adversities of life. These two recent years, 2020 and 2021 have been particularly challenging for many people, and especially for women, who have faced unimaginable situations in the past, and related to the COVID pandemic.

Although it has been a hard time, it has also been a time where many women have faced the vicissitudes of life, but they have turned the contrary winds into a motivation to fight, to create, to rise up bravely and assume a combative position in the face of adversity.

It has been a time where many dreams or plans that have been stored, had to be set in motion, giving other projects that today support not only their families but also groups through employment or productive chains.

Brave women, strong bark, roots, and deep convictions.
