Election's waste

The elections in Costa Rica ended hours ago. The euphoria has subsided, but the carbon footprint remains.

If we walk through different parts of Costa Rica today, we see countless flags and/or t-shirts that have reached the end of their useful life (approximately 3 months of campaigning) but will take more than 200 years to disappear from our soil.

From a textile supply chain perspective, the contrast is stark:

🚩 The Average Flag:

• Material: Various polyester fabrics.

• Origin: Petrochemical (fossil fuels).

• Destination: Landfill (recycling is expensive and inefficient due to solvent-based inks).

• Logic: Use and discard.

At Eve Valverde Atelier, we reject the throwaway culture. Quality shouldn't be measured by how much it shines, but by how much it respects its environment.

True luxury today isn't having more; it's knowing that what you wear is caring for our environment.

Let's talk about materials that build, not materials that pollute.
