Fashion that Remembers: What the Sea Should Never Give Back

During the runway show organized in conjunction with the French Embassy in Costa Rica, each model in the Sensorial collection wore a very special accessory: a bracelet handmade with dried leaves, branches, and flowers collected after their natural cycle.
This gesture—subtle, almost poetic—was no coincidence.
I wanted to evoke what the sea gives back to us through the waves: fragments of nature that have completed their cycle and once again remind us of the beauty of the organic, the ephemeral, that which is born and transformed without harm.
But it was also a silent declaration.
Because the sea should never give back the waste created by human beings, we should never find plastic, textile waste, or traces of a fashion that forgets its responsibility.
At Eve Valverde Atelier, we believe that every design decision can be an opportunity to reflect, to educate with beauty, and to invite a more conscious relationship with the planet we inhabit.
And you? What are you doing from your creative perspective to ensure that fashion isn't just another piece of waste on the shore?
